Volume 7 Number 1 - Fall 1998
|
When the
first issue of Logo Update was published in 1993 few people had
access to the World Wide Web. Today most of our readers are connected
and they increasingly use the Logo Foundation Website as a source of information
about Logo. Past issues of Logo Update are here on our website,
but until now these have been essentially the same as the paper editions.
With the current issue, Logo Update adopts a new
dual format. The print edition is brief and focuses on
current news and information. The Web edition that you are
reading now - Logo Update On Line - will take fuller
advantage of its medium with longer articles, color images,
active content, and direct links to other Web resources.
The major articles in each issue of Logo Update On
Line will be summarized in Logo Update on paper.
The current issue features a report about Project Lighthouse
by David Cavallo of the MIT Media Lab and news about the new
RCX programmable brick from
LEGO® Dacta.
As in the past, Logo Update is supported in part by advertisements.
Please support our sponsors - Terrapin Software, Inc. and Logo Computer
Systems, Inc. (LCSI).
I hope you will find the new Logo Update
informative and useful. Please let us know what you
think.
