In my role as a Digital Learning Specialist Lead, several responsibilities are in my arena. These include project management, STEM, technology planning, and integration. My primary focus is curriculum development and student/teacher support through staff development and technology integration.

My background in STEM goes back to team sponsorship for STEM competitions. This included challenges involving robotics, GIS, creative writing, and art. In addition, I was a coordinator for the Fort Bend ISD Summer Technology and Robotics Camp. This role provided me opportunities to further develop STEM programs at a district level.

Currently, I am involved in the Coding Camp initiative in our district, FBC3.  This corporate-supported opportunity allows elementary and middle school students to experience coding and problem solving in a collaborative and competitive way. We have grown from four participating campuses to 24.

I have also taught robotics for both Fort Bend ISD and Houston Scratch Day. As a participant at the Logo Summer Institute in New York, I have been able to bring additional coding and robotics knowledge and excitement back to our district.

I love to support student-centered initiatives. In my spare time I like to run and love to cook, especially on the BBQ grill.
