Steve Farnsworth

I teach Design and Engineering and manage a well-equipped makerspace at Avenues: The World School in New York City.

I have taught for more than 25 years at independent schools, where I have been a core teacher, technology and computer science teacher, and technology integrator working with elementary, middle, and upper school students and teachers. I have taught programming, robotics, electronics, 3D modeling, and 3D printing; 2D modeling for laser cutting and vinyl cutting projects; and design technology to middle school and high school students.

I have also taught robotics and computer programming at numerous adult and student workshops.

For fun, I like to play tennis, play guitar and piano, write songs and stories, practice yoga and play Magic: The Gathering with my son.
